Berries, Corn and Veggies!

Raspberries will be available for U-Pick around the first of August. The season is just kicking in. They are currently available in our market for $5 a pint. We have a fabulous crop this year, the bushes are loaded! The U-Pick price will be $3.00 a pint. We will keep you posted.

Blackberries - In Indiana, we love blackberries and they are hard to come by. We decided to plant a field of them and we are sitting here patting ourselves on the back. The crop is fabulous and and they will be available for U-Pick around the 1st of August for $3 a quart! So grab your straw hat and come on down!

Blueberry season is almost over. We currently have them available in 10lb, 5lb, quart and pint. We will be offering U-Pick blueberries in the next year or two, we can't wait!

Michigan peaches ready now, delicious!

Our own homegrown sweet corn is here and it's good! We've lowered the price to $3.99 a dozen. We grow the the corn right here on our farm. It's picked several times throughout the day. We do this because the sugar in corn starts to turn to starch as soon as it's picked and we want to ensure freshness. Others have their corn shipped in a couple of times a week and by the time you get it, the sugar has already turned to starch. Ours is the best......from our fields to your table!

We also have homegrown zucchini, green beans, peppers and other delicious produce available in our market now.

Strawberries 2011, We can't wait!

We get a lot of questions this time of year asking when the strawberries will be ready for picking. They will be ready some time in June. With strawberries, everything depends on the weather. We have had a very cool spring so it looks like the season will be a little late. We are keeping a close eye on the plants and are busy planning our strawberry madness festival. Strawberry Madness is usually scheduled on a Saturday at the peak of the strawberry season. It is so much fun that we decided to add an extra day. It is scheduled for Saturday June 11th and Sunday June 12th with dates subject to change pending the weather. We will be sending newsletters, posting on facebook, tweeting and updating this blog frequently to keep everyone informed and up to date!
